Sapient was founded in 2012 by members of the Ecology, Evolution, and Environmental Biology Department at Columbia University. Since then we have been an annual publication focusing on undergraduate research in Biological Anthropology. We are a group of undergraduate students studying a wide range of subjects, including Evolutionary Biology of the Human Species, Archaeology, Genetics, Linguistics, and History.
Our goal is to provide any undergraduates with an interest in Biological Anthropology an opportunity to have individual work formally published. Submissions will be accepted for any of the following categories:
1) Human Variation and Genetics
2) Evolutionary History and Theory
3) Primate Behavior and Ecology
4) Paleoarchaeology and Morphology
E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
The editorial board reviews all submissions to Sapient; identifies candidates for publication; edits manuscripts for content, clarity, writing style, and citation style; provides constructive criticism of manuscripts; and works closely with the author to revise the manuscript.
